Proverbs 1:28 – Wisdom Speaks

Proverbs 1:28 – Wisdom Speaks

Here the wisdom speaks:

When they cry for help, I will not answer.
Though they anxiously search for me, they will not find me.

These are the words of the Wisdom of God (Jesus). He says that when there’s time to listen to and learn His Word, some people don’t. However, when they get trapped into their own folly, they remember Him and ask for help.

At that time, Wisdom says that I won’t answer them nor would I be found by them. They would try to look for me but fail. This is the same as what Jesus said in Matthew 7:23, “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

In the cares of this world, we become selfish and remember the Lord only when in trouble. There’s no balance of things in our life. We need to pay attention to His words and learn the importance of time as Ephesians 5:15 – 16 says, “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”

It’s best to start your day with the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the blood of Lord Jesus. Live each day with your Savior. Set little goals of holiness and faithful rather than setting long-term goals. This will help you resist the worries of this world that distract you.
